Meet the Team; a series dedicated to our incredible staff so you can get to know a little more about those who work behind the scenes (and the counters) to bring you the Drapers you know and love.
This week we spoke with Dafna AKA Daf, pronounced like Daft Punk but without the t, our brand manager and the face behind everything digital at Drapers. With an eye for the finer things and good design she's taking us places, and is the friendly face behind all your online queries. Resident bar lady by day and fashion designer by night.
We asked Daf a few questions about herself, see her responses below;
What’s your favourite bar request?
My go-to is always a negroni or a good gin & tonic, it’s got to be Japanese Roku with a side of lime and rosemary.
How do you spend your time outside of Drapers?
If I’m not behind my sewing machine I’m out on the beach, born in Israel means I’m used to the heat and always crave an ocean swim.
What’s your best sewing hack?
French seams are a great way to make sure your garment is clean from the inside out.
Who’s your biggest muse?
For all things fashion Ann Demeulemeester is my style icon, she’s so romantically and effortlessly cool, whenever I need a spark of inspiration her biography that has every look she has ever created is the first thing in my hand, it’s my bible.
Your favourite fabric in store right now?
I’m like a kid in a candy store coming to work everyday, with something new catching my eye everyday. At the moment I’m loving Rashcel our cotton lace, with lycra stretch it’s perfect for a slinky number.
