Meet the Team; a series dedicated to our incredible staff so you can get to know a little more about those who work behind the scenes (and the counters) to bring you the Drapers you know and love.
This week we caught up with our favourite Melbournite, Matt. If you've ever been to our Fitzroy store you'll surely have run into our resident King of Couture; his signature bleached brows and sparkly caps are a staple in our Fitzroy store and so is his infectious smile. Best known for his impeccable music taste and ability to make any task fun, Matt has been a key member of our Melbourne team for some time now, and we know our community love him just as much as we do!
Get to know a little more about Matt below;
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you be?
I would love to live in Northern Italy, but I feel like Melbourne will always have my heart, there's so much to do and see! It feels like you're never bored in Melbourne.
Your latest fabric obsession?
It's currently a toss up between the Warhol checkerboard cottons or the Puccini cotton collection. I'm a sucker for bold colours to create fun statement pieces for my wardrobe.
What is your biggest goal at the moment?
My biggest goal at the moment would be working towards finishing my Bachelors degree in Fashion Design. I'm currently in my final semester so it's very hectic at the moment trying to produce a full collection!
Who inspires you the most?
My friends and family alway inspire me. I surround myself with creative and fun individuals who push and mentor me to be the best self I can possibly be!
When you're not at Drapers, what are you usually up to?
If I'm not at Drapers I'm either in my home studio cooking up some fun new fashion ideas, or I'm out and about in Melbourne trying to find a great new spot to eat at.
